Karen M. Donovan

Paralegal

My interest in families began with my collegiate curriculum in Human Development and Family Science and has continued through my consistent interaction with local families as a Family Law paralegal with Link Nestheide Family Law.  I think of our work as rearranging the puzzle pieces of a family to create a more functional, peaceful final result than where the family may have been prior to a divorce or separation.

Adaptation is key to any life transition, and children can be masters at overcoming adverse situations, many times even more so than their adult counterparts.  I realize that these changes can place new burdens on our clients’ time management and routine and our boutique firm strives to provide detailed agreements to make a post-divorce life as functional as possible.

I am proud to be a part of our clients’ transition and I truly enjoy advocating for rights to parenting time, helping our clients ensure their children’s safety, ensure that their children’s educational goals are achieved, that their spiritual well-being is fostered, and that the divorce process does not hinder their children developmentally. Oftentimes, moving from a home in conflict into two peaceful homes can help children to thrive in ways not previously experienced.

My work experiences have taught me that the greatest rewards come from the simplest daily interactions with clients, colleagues, and court staff. It is my hope that I can be a helpful resource, providing clients with key information about their case, a sympathetic ear, and prompt responses to their inquiries.

Our clients are often fearful and anxious at the beginning of their divorce or separation process. I have learned through my work in Family Law that while the puzzle of life might be a mystery, it always turns out the way it is supposed to.  Our clients nearly always report to us a much greater feeling of life satisfaction, self-empowerment, and joy after the conclusion of their case.

I reside on the east side of Cincinnati with my husband and two sons.  My hobbies include exploring music genres, cooking, gardening, and hiking.
