Family law issues involve some of the most important things in your life: your children and your livelihood. I understand that who you hire as your attorney is one of the most impactful decisions you will make in this process, and I take my job very seriously. Getting to know my clients allows me to best understand the approach that will be most effective for their case.
People are my passion. So, when I embarked on my legal career, Family Law was the obvious choice. When you are going through a Family Law issue, it can often feel as if your world has been turned upside down. There are so many uncertainties during this time and imagining your future can be scary. It is my job to take some of that uncertainty away by providing legal knowledge and practical advice as a calm voice of guidance and support. I have been practicing exclusively in Family Law for more than ten years and feel extraordinarily grateful to have found a practice that is perfectly suited to my skills.
My clients are extremely important to me. I seek to make a personal connection with every client so I can understand their individual needs in the process, legally, emotionally and financially. In addition to being tuned into my client’s needs in these areas, it is critical that I maintain expert-level knowledge on all facets of Family Law. Limiting my practice exclusively to Family Law allows for this. I am a life-long learner and a solution-oriented problem solver. I find great satisfaction in working to solve complicated Family Law issues such as business valuations, asset tracing, and complex compensation structures. Being a natural empath, a child of divorce, and a parent, I also feel honored to assist my clients through high-conflict custody matters.
In addition to representing clients as their advocate in Family Law matters, I also offer services as a neutral mediator, allowing me to utilize my problem-solving skills in creative ways to help families create their own outcomes.
While I personally believe that collaboration and amicable results are best for families and children, I acknowledge in some cases this is simply not possible. When settlement is not a viable option, I use my litigation and advocacy skills to achieve outcomes for my clients in the courtroom setting. No matter what path we take, it is critical that my clients understand the process and have as much information as possible to aid in making the many decisions that arise in a family law case.
I reside on the east side with my husband and our two young daughters. My hobbies include reading, writing, baking with my kids – always an adventure, and yoga.
